Of all the car rental company counters, the Top Rent A Car counter was always unattended, both in Varna and in Burgas Airports. This is very frustrating! When picking up the car, I had to call the hotline so that the agent would finally come and pick us up. In Burgas, I dropped the keys into the return box because the agent never showed up.

During the booking process, I selected the option to pick up the car near the office. Unfortunately, I then had to walk 300 meters with my heavy luggage—which was not exactly easy.
Why wasn't the car parked in the lot in front of the terminal, as booked?

Firstly we got a VW Passat, as we rented. Just after few meters of driving it announced "cooling liquid" low. Please go to service.
So we returned. The car was checked about 1 hours. The service decided, that the car has to be changed, so we got VW Arteon.
Again after a few km driving the car announced "oil service needed".
In general it looks like the cars are 3-4 years old and rarely checked.
Service was friendly, but slow.
